Introduction


This report documents the findings and analysis of the Surface Water sample collected from the Shah Amanat Bridge area in Chittagong, as part of our Environmental Engineering (Sessional-1) (CE-352) course. The purpose of this study was to understand the quality of the Surface water in the area and assess its compliance with local and international standards and guidelines, particularly those set by The Environment Conservation Rules, 1997 and the World Health Organization (WHO).


Objectives of the Project


1. Assess the quality of Surface water near Shah Amanat Bridge in Chittagong.
2. Determine compliance with the Environmental Conservation Rules-1997 (ECR) and
WHO guidelines.
3. Identify potential contaminants and risks in the collected water samples.
4. Conduct a range of experiments to measure key water quality parameters.
5. Gain practical experience in sample collection, testing, and analysis techniques.
6. Apply the acquired knowledge to real-life environmental conservation and water resource management scenarios
